Question about Big Ridge SP Empty Question about Big Ridge SP

We are going to BRSP for the bluegrass festival. The sites we wanted are already reserved. Sites 19,20, and 21 are still available. We camp in a 28ft TT. Will our camper fit in those spots? With our tow vehicle? Best I can remember those spots are kind to close to the lake?

According to the parks web-site, site 19 would not work for you since its length is only 26 ft. Site 20 & 21 should work fine.

You can actually back deep into the site (19).. your camper would fit. You can see (above) my 23 ft camper and my pickup (in front of the camper) fit into the drive.

Site# 20:

As you can see we are also backed in about 6 ft behind the pad. I think we had to do this to get close enough to the water and electric hookups which were set way back in the site. The truck fit into the spot nicely in front.

We will also see you there!

So y'all are the ones that got the good sites! Very Happy We drove up there a couple of weeks ago and looked at 16, 17, and 18. I was a little slow on the reservation button. It's all good though...

When is the BG festival? Is it just Friday/Friday night? Or is it Thursday, Friday, and Saturday?

The "fest" is just Friday night.. I think it all starts around 7pm. Bring your lawn chairs, coolers and blankets to the big open area next to the park office.. out side the entrance to the campground. They play music till 11p or midnight. In addition there are several exhibits and booths. Homemade ice cream, BBQ, etc etc.. a blacksmith, folk art, etc.

It all has a kind of an old fashioned, down home celebration feel.
