I know it isnt healthy.. but it sure was good! tonight for dinner: Fried Spam, Cornbread, Green beans and new potatoes, Sliced tomatoes and cucumbers! Yumm!

I was thinking.. this would be some good eating at the campsite too. Fry the spam up over the campfire.. get it kinda crispy on the edges!!!!

Sounds good. Could you do it in the pie irons?

I saw a larger pie iron at the Bass Pro Shop. It looked as if you could make lager sammiches. Very Happy

I bought one of those fold over grill things that people use to grill fish, etc ... on a gas grill. I have done hamburgers in it.. over a campfire. It works pretty good. Holds the burgers.. and allows for easy turning. I was thinking of slicing the SPAM.. and then putting it in this thing. Not sure what they are called.

In these tough times, more and more Americans are embracing foods like SPAM. Hormmel's stock is up 20%. I'm in for SPAM night. I like the Spam with Bacon best. Slice it thin, fry it a little crisp around the edge as Chuck said. Add just a little mustard, and put it on a leftover biscuit if you have one. Yum!
